Keke Brothers Arrested For Allegedly Kill!ng Suspected Sugarcane Thief In Chriadzulu

Police in Chiradzulu have arrested two men on suspicion of murdering a 64-year-old man whom they accused of stealing sugarcane from their field.

Chiradzulu Police spokesperson Cosmas Kagulo has confirmed the arrest and identified the suspects as Kingston Keke, 35-year-old and 24-year-old Takwansa Keke aged 24.

The two, are believe to allegedly attacked Jackson Majawa with machetes.

According to Kagulo, the incident occurred as Majawa was passing by their field on his way to his own farmland. The two suspects reportedly assaulted him, inflicting deep cuts on his head, arm, and leg, leaving him unconscious.

Well-wishers rushed Majawa to Mbulumbudzi Health Centre for medical treatment. However, he was later discharged and passed away at his home.

Both suspects are from Nsanja Village, under Senior Chief Mpama in Chiradzulu. Police say investigations into the case are ongoing.
