Father’s Car Kills 2 Year-old Baby In Zambia

A two-year-old girl has died in Chipata, Eastern province, after she was hit by her father’s vehicle.
The incident happened yesterday around 14-hours in Magazine compound.
Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer,robertson Mweemba has confirmed and identified the child as Purity Jere.
Mr. MWEEMBA said the accident happened after the girl’s father, identified as James Jere, was closing the bonnet of the vehicle.
He explained that as he was closing the bonnet, the vehicle rolled backwards and in the process it hit the girl, who was walking behind it.
