
Police Arrest Two for Allegedly Buying ID Numbers in Balaka

Police in Balaka have arrested two people suspected of purchasing the numbers of of national identification cards.
Police spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha identified the suspects as Jonas Kazembe and Catherine Kamodzi, both 32 years old, who were allegedly buying the numbers for K3,000 each.
According to M’bumpha, the two arrived in Chauluka Village, where they deceived residents by claiming they were from the Tithandizane 2032 organization and were launching a new project in the area.
Kazembe and Kamodzi are expected to appear in court soon.
