UTM President Dr. Dalitso Kabambe has revealed that his party is engaged in coalition discussions with other opposition parties ahead of the upcoming September 16 elections.

Kabambe made the revelation during the party’s rally in Nchinji which was also attended by other top officials  including Dr. Mathews Mtumbuka, Dr Patricia Kaliati, Willet Kalonga, and others.

Kabambe emphasized that, with the 50+1 system in place, significant progress has been made toward forming an alliance government for the upcoming polls.

He assured the nation that updates on the coalition talks will be provided in due course.

Regarding the party’s manifesto submission to the National Planning Commission (NPC), Dr. Kabambe confirmed that all necessary processes are underway and that the manifesto will be submitted before the July deadline.
