3 Arrested in Dowa for Illegal Possession of Charcoal

Dowa police have arrested three individuals for being found in possession of 28 bags of charcoal without proper documentation.
Dowa Police Public Relations Officer, Alice Sitima, identified the suspects as 29-year-old Phill Elisa, 33-year-old Peter Phiri, and 40-year-old Chimwemwe Gomani.
The suspects were apprehended at Mvera Roadblock along the Lilongwe-Salima road.
Police have also seized a Mazda TITAN vehicle, registration number LL 10228, which was being used to transport the charcoal.
Authorities have confirmed that the suspects will soon appear in court to answer charges related to the illegal possession and transportation of charcoal.
