Police in Balaka have arrested 11 people suspected to have committed various offences.

The 11 suspects were arrested during an inteligence driven operation conducted during the night of March 18 to March 19, 2025 at Kachenga, Chingeni, Majiga 1, Majiga 2, Sosola and Andiamo Locations in Balaka District.

Among the suspects, one will answer a charge of robbery, 2 for breaking into a building and committing felony therein, one for burglary and theft, 5 for theft, one for unlawful wounding and one for found in possession of property suspected to have been stolen.

The suspects will appear before court soon to answer charges levelled against them.
