The Catholic University of Malawi’s Students’ Union Disciplinary Committee has taken action against two students, William Mubisa and Zaithwa Mlotha, following allegations of serious misconduct that have raised concerns within the university community.
According to a memorandum from the Students’ Union, the students were accused of engaging in sexual intercourse “against the order of nature”, a violation of the university’s Code of Conduct and Ethics. Additionally, they were found intoxicated off-campus, which also breaches university regulations.
The university has emphasized that these actions not only violate institutional policies but also go against the moral values and principles expected of students.
Authorities at the university have yet to confirm what disciplinary measures will be taken against the two students.
