Trade and Industry Minister Vitumbiko Mumba has claimed that some leaders within the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) do not have his best interests at heart.
Speaking last night on the Zodiak Exclusive programme, Mumba stated that despite these challenges, his political vision remains unaffected.
He accused certain party leaders of tarnishing his reputation and clashing with those who supported him during the party’s national convention.
The minister also urged Malawians to focus on their work, expressing concern that many businesses are dominated by foreign traders.
Additionally, Mumba dismissed claims that his various engagements are an attempt to secure a position as President Lazarus Chakwera’s running mate in this year’s elections, insisting that he is simply committed to serving Malawians.
