Information reaching this publication indicates that Deputy Minister of Local Government, Culture, and Unity, Joyce Chitsulo, and Blantyre City South East MP, Sameer Suleman, had to be separated in Parliament after nearly engaging in a physical fight.
The two lawmakers were seen in a heated argument before Chitsulo marched toward Suleman’s seat and allegedly hurled an expletive at him, provoking his anger. A report said fellow MPs quickly intervened to prevent the situation from escalating further.
Although the exact cause of the confrontation remains unclear, the altercation disrupted proceedings, drawing attention from other legislators.
Suleman and Chitsulo have yet to comment on the matter.
