TN Stars FC has tragically lost one of its players, Joseph Jiya, following a shocking incident.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Jiya was allegedly apprehended by security agents on suspicion of stealing a mobile phone. It is reported that as he was being taken to the police station, he attempted to escape. Upon being caught, he was allegedly beaten, and he later passed away at the hospital.

Confirming the sad news, TN Stars FC posted on their official Facebook page:

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our player, Mayeso Joseph, following a short illness. He passed away earlier on 25th March 2025 at Kasungu District Hospital, where he was receiving treatment.”
