The Lusaka Magistrates Court in Zambia has convicted Lumezi Member of Parliament, Munir Zulu, on all three counts of criminal libel.

The charges stem from accusations made by Zulu, in which he alleged that Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane and Infrastructure Minister Charles Milupi each received $250,000, with an additional $150,000 allegedly given to Minister Milupi by Road Development Agency (RDA) Board Chairperson, Mulchand Kuntawala.

The court found Zulu’s allegations to be false and defamatory, resulting in his conviction.
