
Phalombe Youth Network Elects ‘Fadweck Namacha’ as New Chairperson – Vows to Empower Youth

Fadweck Namacha of Nambazo Youth Club has been elected as Chairperson of Phalombe District Youth Network during a recent elective conference held under the theme “Empowered Youth, Transformed Societies.”
In his remarks today on 9 April 2025, Namacha pledged to enhance youth participation in social and economic activities, with particular focus on agribusiness. He also committed to ensuring young people’s involvement in decision-making processes affecting their welfare.
Phalombe District Youth Officer Halson Bulangeti emphasized the need for mindset change among youth and encouraged their active participation in socio-economic development initiatives.
The newly elected executive committee includes Agnes Fabiano Kasongo as Vice Chairperson, Catherine Mwayenela as General Secretary, Jailosi Duli as Vice Secretary, Christopher Kamwendo as Treasurer, and Aubrey Gama as Public Relations Officer.
The conference held at Henele Lodge, brought together youth club representatives from across the district to discuss strategies for youth empowerment and community transformation.
