NIGERIA – A police inspector, Stephen Enang, has tragically died after collapsing shortly following Arsenal’s 3–0 victory over Real Madrid.

Enang, who was attached to the Akim Police Division along IBB Way in Calabar, was watching the UEFA Champions League match at a local viewing centre on Abang-Asang Street with friends.

According to one of his close friends, the officer was in high spirits throughout the game, cheering enthusiastically as Arsenal netted three goals against the Spanish giants.

“He was happy, healthy, and celebrated every goal. But after the final whistle, when everyone began leaving, we noticed Stephen wasn’t moving. That’s when we knew something was wrong,” said the friend.

Enang reportedly slumped in his seat moments after the match ended. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

“He was soft-spoken, loved football, and was a die-hard Arsenal supporter. His passing is a huge shock to all of us,” the friend added.
