Neno Court Hands 10-Year-Jail Term To 28 Year-Old Man For Having S3x With Minor

The Neno First Grade Magistrate court has on 14th April, 2025 convicted and sentenced a 28-year-old man Gift Moses to 10 years imprisonment for having sexual intercourse with a minor.
According to Neno public relations officer Rebecca Msoliza, the girl’s mother noticed some changes in her behavior and decided to follow her movements only to find her with love letters. upon questioning, she admitted to have been in a sexual relationship with the convict.
The matter was then reported to Neno Police who arrested the convict. Appearing before court, Moses pleaded guilty to the charge of having sexual intercourse with a female child.
In mitigation Moses asked for the court’s leniency saying that he is the head of a family and a first offender.
Gift Moses comes from Nyakoko village, Traditional Authority Dambe, in Neno district.
