65-Year-Old Man Dies After Being Hit by Speeding Bicycle in Mwanza

A 65-year-old man has died in Mwanza District after being hit by a bicycle.
According to Mwanza Police spokesperson Hope Kasakula, the deceased, Elias Chiomba, was struck on the Tulonkhudi Road while on his way to work. The bicycle was being ridden by 17-year-old Wilson Stonek.
Kasakula explained that at the time of the accident, the bicycle was speeding and had no brakes, causing Stonek to lose control and hit Chiomba. The victim collapsed and was rushed to Mwanza Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The late Elias Chiomba hailed from Tulonkhudi Village, Traditional Authority Kanduku, in the district.
