Mighty Wanderers Football Club has announced the death of their Technical Director Yasin Osman, who passed away Monday at Blantyre Adventist Hospital following a brief illness.

Club CEO Panganeni Ndovi confirmed the news, paying tribute to the former Flames international as “a true legend of Malawian football.”

Osman served Wanderers in multiple roles across decades – first as a player, then coach, and most recently as Technical Director. His influence extended to the national team, where he contributed both as player and technical staff.

The club described Osman as “the heartbeat of our technical department” whose “tactical wisdom and passion for development shaped generations of players.”

The remains of Yasin “Titch” Osman have today left Bvumbwe for burial in Balaka.

Wanderers chairman Thom Mpinganjira said: “We’ve not just lost a staff member, but a father figure who dedicated his life to this club. His legacy will live on through every player he mentored.”

The football community has begun pouring in tributes, with FAM president Fleethood Haiya, calling Osman “one of the architects of modern Malawian football.”
