
Yasin Osman Laid to Rest

The Malawian football community came together today to bid a heartfelt farewell to Yasin Osman, who was laid to rest at Balaka Estate in Ntcheu.
Family, friends, and top football figures gathered to honor his legacy. His elder brother, Alaudin Osman, thanked the football fraternity especially Mighty Wanderers for their love and support.
Dr. Sunduzwayo Madise of the Malawi National Council of Sports described Osman as a cornerstone of Malawi’s football. FAM Vice President Christopher Kuyera echoed the sentiment, saying Osman’s work shaped the game we know today.
Mighty Wanderers’ Board Secretary Chancy Gondwe called him “one of the greatest sons” of the club.
Osman was serving as Technical Director at Wanderers until his passing on Monday, 21 April, 2025.
