Phwedo’s Bail Fate to Be Decided This Afternoon

This afternoon, actor Tumpe Mtaya, popularly known as Phwedo, is expected to return to court for a ruling on his bail application.
Yesterday, Chief Resident Magistrate Benjamin Chulu announced that he will deliver the ruling at 2 PM after hearing from all parties involved.
The state has argued against granting bail, claiming that Phwedo’s celebrity status could enable him to tamper with evidence.
However, Phwedo’s legal team maintains that the state has failed to provide any compelling reason to deny him bail.
