The Catholic Priest was on Wednesday morning found dead in his room at St. Louis Catholic Parish in Balaka.
Reverend Father Callisto Baluwa belonged to the Society of Montfort Missionaries.
Episcopal Conference of Malawi Secretary General Reverend Father Henry Saindi confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
Meanwhile the body of father Baluwa is currently at College of Medicine for a postmortem to establish the cause of his death.
