Following the bus accident that happened on Tuesday afternoon at Zolozolo Bridge in Mzuzu which resulted to the death of five people, Police have arrested a driver of the bus.
Mzuzu Police Public Relations Officer Martin Bwanali confirmed of the arrest in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) and identified the suspect as Yona Pundi.
According to Bwanali, the driver of the bus has been charged with reckless driving despite him sustaining life threatening injuries.
Three people are in critical condition while several others are admitted at Mzuzu Central Hospital.
