A 27-year-old man has been arrested for peeping at women waiting to deliver in labour ward at Kawamba Health Centre in Kasungu.
Kasungu police public relations officer Edina Mzigwiritsa has identified the suspect as Buraundi Banda who hails from Kawamba village, T/A Kawamba in Kasungu district.
According to Mzigwiritsa, the suspect had previously been caught doing the same act but he has had luck to escape.
First time, the suspect was caught collecting urine of expectant women and was taken to the village headman where he was commanded to pay cash as a fine.
The second time, he was seen peeping into a labour ward at the same hospital but he escaped before people could apprehend him.
His 40th day was on Thursday when people around the hospital saw him peeping at expectant women in labour ward.
Community members managed to apprehend him and hand him over to Kasungu police station where he has since been charged with an offence of insulting the modesty of a woman.
He is currently being kept at the station as he waits to answer the charges in court.
