Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that supporters of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on Monday stormed the house of the country’s Vice President Saulos Chilima demanding him to represent them as member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre.

The supporters claimed that the current MP for the constituency David Bisnowaty is unpopular and chances are small that he will emerge winner in the forthcoming tripartite election.

The DPP supporters were led by director of youths for the Central Rajab Malimba and Constituency governor Mr. Ayuda.

It is alleged that the DPP supporters failed to meet Chilima because the meeting collided with the official opening of the 2018 tobacco selling season at Kanengo by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.

The supporters who were in four 15-tonner truck chanted songs praising Chilima and his leadership style.
