Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) cadets have called on their national youth director Louis Ngalanda to either apologise or resign following his siding with the former first lady Callista Mutharika on the issue regarding the age of the President.

Deputy Director of youth in the party Musa Daiton said, at the party’s headquarters during a press briefing on Monday.

According to Daiton Ngalande did not consult his fellow youths therefore whatever he said was not their true representation.

Last week, women chapter of the party led by its deputy publicity secretary Zeliya Chakale also sounded similar calls on the former first lady to apologise saying she had crossed the limits.

She went on to ask the former first lady to stay away from politics and let family issues not affect politics.
