The High Court in Zomba has found former Minister of Agriculture, George Chaponda with no case to answer on all counts.

Chief Resident Magistrate, Paul Chiotcha delivered the ruling on Friday morning.

In his ruling, Chiotcha said the duty of the court at this level is not to test if the case has been made beyond reasonable doubt, but if there is sufficient evidence to put the accused persons to defend themselves

Chaponda was answering three charges which include giving false information to the ACB, influencing a public officer to misuse his position and possession of foreign currency.
