Archbishop Thomas Luke Msusa of Blantyre Diocese has spoken against violent remarks by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika Mutharika.

Msusa was speaking during the 85th graduation ceremony for Form 4 students at Providence Girls Secondary School in Mulanje today.

“Leaders should not threaten people. We don’t want to hear words like ndikunyenyanyenyani, I will crush you,” Msusa said while attracting ululation from the students.

Msusa urged political leaders to desist from tribalism and from regionalism.

The Bishop then asked Malawians to choose wisely in the forthcoming 2019 Tripartite Elections.
