Khumbo Kachali to contest as President in 2019 polls

Former Vice President Khumbo Kachali has announced that he will contest as president in the forthcoming 2019 tripartite elections on his newly formed Freedom Party ticket.
Kachali dumped the opposition People’s Party (PP) of Dr. Joyce Banda last year following leadership squabbles that rocked the party.
He later formed his own party called Freedom Party (FP) and recently he has been crisscrossing the country wooing supporters.
Controversial Mzimba Hora MP, Christopher Mzomera Ngwira, was one of the people who reportedly encouraged Kachali to form a party.
