The body of late Florence Chathyoka Sinsamala will be laid to rest on Friday at Biwi Cemetery in the capital Lilongwe, faceofmalawi can reveal.

Chathyoka was stabbed to death by unknown thugs at the border of South Africa Beitbridge in the wee hours of Sunday.

The fact of the matter is that Chathyoka was travelling in a Munorurama bus from Lilongwe to Johannesburg and at the port of entry as a tradition all travellers were requested to take out their belongings.

The deceased bowed down to the call and went to offload her Sobo and rice. While there unknown thug followed her since she was alone.

The armed thug grabbed her bag and she tried to fight for it and the moment she screamed for help the thug stabbed her with a knife.

According to a funeral programme seen by FOM’s reporter, the body of Chathyoka will arrive in the country on Thursday through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA).

The family has since hailed Malawians for their prayers.

“We have been overwhelmed with your prayers, condolences, support and presence, since it was known of the tragic death of Flora. Many thanks to all of you,” read in part the statement.

Faceofmalawi will keep you updated on the matter.
