Born 53 years ago in the family of six children (3 men, 3 women) in the village headman Sungani in Traditional Authority Lukwa in Kasungu district, Jeremiah Kanzota started Jeremiah stationery in Blantyre after failing to get a job in companies and organizations.

He said several times he was invited to attend job interviews but lucky was not on his side to get a job.

“After completing form four at Lumbira Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) in Chilomoni Blantyre i applied in several organisions to have an opportunity to get a job but unfortunately i was  not employed hence a decision to establish my own stationery company,” he said.

Kanzota who also ministered in several churches also said he established the Jeremiah stationery company to defeat the odds that when you complete education you will be employed by others and he also admired his brother who had a stationery shop too.

Apart from running a business, Kanzota also engage himself in farming activities like keeping cattle, goats, pigs, and chicken and grow maize for commercial and groundnuts for consumption.

“We Keep quality products at reasonable price form Dubai and South Africa,” he said, adding that his future plans are to open a factory in Blantyre to contribute to country’s economic development.

The company which is located opposite Malawi Post Office supplies HP Tonner, Canon Tonner, Lexmark, computer consumables, stationery and also offers different types of services such as Typing, Binding, Photocopy, Laminating at affordable price.

“My hobbies are listening to gospel music especially Michiru CCAP youth choir and reading different books. My favourite food is nsima with pumpkin leaves (Mnkwani),” he said.

He is married to Violet and has six children two boys, four girls.
