Police in Manyowe Township in the commercial capital Blantyre are hunting for two people suspected of killing a friend after picking a quarrel at a drinking spree.

The incident happened on Thursday last week, according to an eyewitness who rushed to the scene.

The two have been identified as Zuze Chitseko and Sam Kambewa from the same area.

According to information at hand, the three met at certain drinking joints in the area called ‘Garage ‘and one of the suspects confronted the deceased identified as Andrew Nowa demanding beer but the approach did not please the deceased resulting to a fight.

The deceased knocked down one of the suspects and the development did not please the other suspect.

In retaliation one of the suspects picked a stone and hit the deceased in the head. The deceased collapsed and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre.

Nowa died on Saturday morning and burial ceremony took place on Sunday.
