United Transformation Movement (UTM) is today holding its first ever National Governing Council (NGC) meeting at Ufulu Gardens in the capital Lilongwe, faceofmalawi can reveal.

According to information at hand, the meeting is aimed at reviewing the progress the movement has made since its formation.

Delegates to the meeting are also scheduled to coming up with the exact date as to when UTM will hold its much awaited national elective conference.

UTM’s spokesperson Joseph Chidant Malunga confirmed of the meeting in a statement released on Monday made available to faceofmalawi reporter.

“UTM elective convention to be held on a date to be announced soon (not tomorrow) – let’s continue identifying good people to lead us!,” wrote Malunga.

UTM is currently led by Dr. Saulos Chilima who is also the country’s Vice President.
