Chilima’s application to have UTM registered as a political party rejected

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that the Registrar of political parties in the country has turn down the application by Dr. Saulos Chilima to have his United Transformation Movement (UTM) registered as a political party.

This has been disclosed in a statement released and signed by Deputy Registrar of Political parties Chikumbutso Namelo made available to FOM’s reporter.

According to Namelo, his office has refused to register UTM as a political party for providing misleading information.
