The long awaited three-day Sand Music Festival driven by Impakt Events which is led by renowned musician Soldier Lucius Banda starts Friday to Sunday at Sunbird Livingstonia in Salima.

The festival will officially be opened today. People will experiences performances on two stages namely Pamchenga which is the smaller stage and Booster which is the main stage.

One of the international headliners Kenyatta Hill jetted into the country on Wednesday ahead of his performance on Saturday.

However, another Jamaican artist Andrew Tosh, son to another reggae maestro Peter Tosh is a doubt. Zimbabwe’s Ammara Brown is also part of the lineup and will perform on Friday.

There are also performances from among others, Black Missionaries, Lulu, Daughters Band, Annemarie Quinn, Code Sangala, Patience Namadingo, Chris Aka from Zambia.

Sunday the last day has been dedicated to gospel and will feature among others, Miracle Chinga Moffat, Steve Spesho, Great Angels Choir, Reverend Chimwemwe Mhango and Ethel Kamwendo Banda.
