MCP recruits 10 000 plus election monitors

In a bid to protect the vote, main opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has employed over 10 000 election monitors to be deployed in polling centres during the May 21 Tripartite Elections.
Speaking on the sidelines of a rally in Salima North West Constituency, MCP director of elections Richard Chimwendo Banda said they have put in place mechanisms to protect the vote physically and technically.
He added that they have been working on these elections since 2014.
