President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has asked Malawians to give Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) a second chance in the May 21, tripartite elections.

Mutharika said this when he was visiting flood victims in Thyolo.

Speaking at the rally, Mutharika said his government has developed the country beyond reasonable doubt and for such developments to continue DPP has to continue ruling for the next five years.

He further added that the opposition must remain in the opposition.

“In the next elections vote for DPP for the continuation of developments,” said Mutharika

DPP’s Regional Governor for the south, Charles Mchacha concurred with Mutharika saying it is only DPP and President Mutharika who have the ability to rescue Malawi from poverty.

He further said that MCP/ PP’ coalition is nothing but a mess. He branded MCP as a Crocodile party and PP as a master of cashgate.
