As the day draws near for the forthcoming May 21 tripartite election, United Democratic Front (UDF) is set to launch its manifesto at Civo Stadium in the capital Lilongwe.

UDF will be the fourth party to launch its manifesto. United Tranformation Movement (UTM), Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and Umodzi Party (UP) of Professor John Chisi already launched their manifestos.

UDF Ken Ndanga confirmed of the launch in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by faceofmalawi reporter.

He said preparations are at an advanced stage.

“The UDF Campaign and Manifesto launch will be held on Sunday 7thApril, 2019 at Civo stadium in Lilongwe.

“Watch this space for further updates,” wrote Ndanga.

Recently rumours were all over social media that UDF President Atupele Muluzi is contemplating on pulling out of the Presidential race to support Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Presidential torchbearer Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.

But UDF rubbished the clams, saying Atupele will represent UDF in the forthcoming polls.

Meanwhile Muluzi is yet to resign as Minister of Health and Population.
