Prophet TB Joshua of Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) has denied releasing a prophecy regarding the out coming of the forthcoming May 21 tripartite election in the country, saying the prophecy is fake.
A week ago, the social media was awash with prophecy purportedly from the renowned and respected man of God, Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly referred to as T. B. Joshua, claiming that Dr. Saulos Chilima of United Transformation Movement (UTM) will emerge victorious.
“As I was praying at the mountain, God told me to read the story of David in the bible. I did not understand why because I already know the whole story by heart, but I followed the instruction and opened my bible to read the story.
“While I was reading the story of David as instructed by God in a vision, I saw a country in Southern Africa. Very small and surrounded by bigger countries including Tanzania. Then the Lord said to me that for the first time after the president who ruled from 1994 for 10 years, the country will now have another leader to rule for 10 years,” read the said published prophecy.
“In the vision, I saw that after this leader who ruled for 10 years, no one has ruled for two terms as required by the country’s law. They either die in office or fail to be re elected for another term,” explained the man of God.
“To give me a better clue of the country, the Lord showed me a very beautiful lake, then I saw black, red and green appearing, I knew it was Malawi,” added the prophecy.
“Now, we pray for Malawi. The Lord has chosen this leader, the current vice president who was called to politics by the current president. That is when the story of David made sense. The purpose of the current president was to introduce the chosen one and make way for him. It’s now time for him to take over.”
But Emmanuel TV Partners in Malawi have trashed the prophecy in a statement posted in the Daily Times dated April 9, 2019 seen by faceofmalawi, saying the prophecy is fake.
“The man of God has not made any prophecy regarding specific person in Malawi therefore any message circulating on the social media do not come from SCOAN or its its official channels.
“It is against this background that Emmanuel TV would like to advise its patners never to be part of circulating messages before getting confirmation on whether it is from SCOAN on not. Always check with your partnership representative for confirmation,” reads in part the statement.
Malawi will hold its second tripartite election on May 21, 2019 and three political parties namely; Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, Malawi Congress Party (MCP) of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and United Transformation Movement (UTM) of Chilima are favoured to win.
