Death has been announced of Peoples Party (PP) Shadow Member of Parliament for Nkhotakota Central Constituency Mr. Andrew Mlotha.
Mlotha died on Monday at at Daeyang Hospital in Lilongwe.
Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chief Elections Officer Sam Alfandika confirmed of the death in a statement made available to the press.
According to Alfandika, said all nominations that were done in the constituency are void hence fresh nominations to be received 29th of April 2019.
He said that all parliamentary candidates for the constituency who already submitted their nominations and were declared duly nominated need to write letters to the Constituency Returning officer confirming their candidature.
