Director General of Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) Godfrey Itaye has fired Liza Msusa Director of Postal Services and reinstated two more directors he fired last week.
Itaye last week fired Msusa, Director of Broadcasting Fegus Lipenga and Director of Finance Ben Chitsonga claiming their contracts had expired.
Reports reaching Faceofmalawi indicates that Itaye has reinstated Lipenga and Chitsonga Leaving out Msusa.
A source under anonymity condition said reasons for Msusa’s dismissal are based on political cause.
“It is True Liza Msusa has been fired, we all know the reason of her dismissal, and she has been sacked because her husband Khwesi is a close friend of the vice president DR. Saulos Chilima who is also United Transformation Movement (UTM) president,” said the source.
The source added that Msusa was the best performer.
“She has not been fired because of her performance at work, she was a star performer,”
The source further added that even though the directors underwent interviews it was clear that the target was Msusa.
“When the three directors were forced to undergo interviews we all knew the target was Liza Msusa not the other two, most people here are not surprised,” added the source.
The source continued saying that board of directors have no power as they all succumb to Itaye. ���|�R�
