The High Court in Blantyre is expected to set a date when two men suspected of murdering banker Richard Nsamala will appear before the court to answer murder charges.

The two are Timothy Sinalo and Kenneth Chimwanga, who worked for Nsamala as houseboy and security guard respectively.

They allegedly killed Nsamala, an employee of Indebank, and buried him within his compound in Soche east in the city.

The suspected murderers were arrested in Bvumbwe while trying to sell the deceased’s official car.

Earlier, the Blantyre Magistrate court sentenced the two to two years and four months imprisonment on the first count of theft.

The incident has been one of the high profile murder cases after the general public has been calling on the police to address insecurity in the country.

Before the Soche East murder, there have also been various reported murder cases in Blantyre city townships such as Mbayani, Chirimba and Manase.

The deputy police publicist for Southern Region, Beatrice Bwanali told the media that they have committed the two to the high court.
