Youth body known as Youth Decide has bemoaned with the new cabinet saying that the youths have been sidelined.

This has been said by team leader of Youth Decide Charles Kajoloweka, who said all ministers are above 35 years old.

Kajoloweka said their body is not pleased with the new cabinet as they expected to see youth representation in the cabinet.

“We are very disappointed with the cabinet. In this era, we expected a cabinet with youth representation. After all, 54 per cent of those who voted are the youth,” complained Kajoloweka.

He however vowed not to sit back, he promised to continue pressurizing President Peter Mutharika to consider appointing the youth in his cabinet.

Meanwhile the one appointed to be the minister of Youth, Sports and Manpower Development Francis Phiso is in his mid-40s

Ahead of May 21 polls, the Youth body engaged all the presidential aspirants to sign the National Youth Manifesto committing to address numerous challenges faced by the youths in the country.

All the presidential hopefuls signed the National Youth manifest except President Mutharika.
