United Transformation Movement (UTM) Councillor for Soche East Ward Leonard Chimbanga has pulled out of the Mayaral polls for Blantyre City, faceofmalawi can reveal.
Chimbanga announced this today when he was called to present his Manifesto ahead of the Mayoral polls at Blantyre City Council chamber where the election is currently taking place.
Apart from Chimbanga, Independent Councilor Emmanuel Chimombo has also pulled out of the Mayoral race.
The development means the race is now between two Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) councilors namely Wild Ndipo of Chigumula Ward and Lucy Chirambo of Namalimwe Ward.
