In Nakuru, Kenya, Two women fighting for the custody of a three-month-old baby were left in shock after the DNA results revealed that neither of them is the biological mother of the child.

The test was conducted by Pamela Okello at a State Laboratory amid a child trafficking case.

The results which were presented in a Nakuru Court on Monday indicated that the child had no biological relationship with either Lilian Auma or Calland Mwajuma.

Consequently, the biological mother of the child remains unknown.

“Based on DNA profile generated from the listed samples, both Auma and Mwajuma are excluded as biological mothers to the infant,” part of the report read.

Auma was arrested by police in Busia County on August 11 after she was accused of stealing the baby from  Mwajuma in Nakuru on July 1.
