This morning Parliament turned into a battle field following a refusal by Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lawmaker for Blantyre City South East Sameer Suleman who refused to leave the chamber after being chased by Speaker Catherine Gotani Hara.

Speaker of Parliament Gotani Hara applied standing order 105 on Suleman for misconduct but he refused to do so.

The development resulted into commotion in the house with the opposition MPs pressing the Speaker to force Suleman out of the house.

The disagreement forced the Speaker to suspend the house prematurely.
