Opposition members of Parliament have ganged up against Leader of the house Kondwani Nankhumwa for making public the letter he wrote Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani Hara over her conduct in the house.

Nankhumwa on Monday penned the Speaker questioning some of her decision in the house starting with the suspension of the Democratic Progressive Party Member of Parliament (MP) Honorable Sameer Suleman.

The leader of government who is also DPP Vice President for the South accused Hara of being biased and partisan.

After penning the Speaker, Nankhumwa went ahead in making public the letter attracting criticisms from opposition MPs.

Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday morning, Lilongwe Msinja South MP Linson Belekanyama said the matter should have been discussed at Business Committee.

Several MPs have expressed their frustration on the matter and Dowa East Richard Chimwendo Banda proposed a 30 minute meet of the business committee to resolve the matter before the house proceeds with commitee of supply.

Interim Leader of Opposition Lobin Lowe also concurs with Chimwendo Banda.
