Former State President Dr Bakili Muluzi has left the country for South Africa where he is expected to seek medical attention.
One of his lawyers Jai Banda has confirmed this in an interview.
According to Jai Banda Dr Muluzi has left the country yesterday but said his return will depend on doctor’s advice.
Dr Muluzi has been seen attending public and government events recently since President Mrs Joyce Banda assumed power.
The former head of state who is answering charges of misappropiating 1.7 Billion Kwacha donor money during his regime is due to appear before the High Court in Blantyre on 8th October next month.
