Ballot papers for the November 5 by-elections are expected to arrive in the country today.
It is anticipated that the papers will arrive, along with other elections material, through the Kamuzu International Airport.
This comes after the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) postponed elections in Lilongwe South due to violence and intimidation in the constituency.
According to Sangwani Mwafulirwa, who is MEC’s Director, Media and Public Relations, election material for the postponed constituency will be sent to MEC head office in Blantyre for safe-keeping.
Political parties and candidates have been urged to send representatives to witness the receipt and dispatch of the ballot papers.
