Six people died during heavy rains as the land construction site collapsed on them burying them alive.

The six who have since been identified as Indian nationals were working on underground pipes in Oman when the unfortunate happened.

The public Authority for civil Defence and Ambulance said that they were able to reach the six laborers during the rescue operation but unfortunately they were all dead.

“Rescue teams discovered the bodies of six Asian workers that were buried in a water project” in the coastal city of seeb, about 30km northwest of the capital Muscat, the Public Authority for civil defence and Ambulance (PACDA) said Gulf news.

Rescue team further revealed that the workers were trapped in rain water and mud as they were laying underground pipes in a site that was 295 meters long and 14 meters deep, in seeb area, Muscat.

It took rescue team 12 hrs to reach the bodies of the six, this is as Indian embassy in Oman confirmed the unfortunate incident through a tweet.
