Ahmed Yakubu a Malawian of Asian origin has challenged government that he is ready for a legal battle if there is a need to to defend his rightfully owned land.

The business man’s remarks came in following government’s warning to Yakubu to destroy his warehouse he has built at the schools premises or else the government will use force to bring down the building.

However, Yakubu has said he rightfully acquired the land.

Meanwhile, government through the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development has admitted that part of the land of Livimbo Primary and Secondary Schools was indeed sold.

The Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs says will seek legal action should the Ministry of Lands fail to deliver land documents for Livimbo school.

Chairperson for the committee, Kezzie Msukwa, said that the committee has summoned the Principal Secretaries in the ministries of lands and education.

Chief Executive Officer for Lilongwe City Council and the Surveyor-General to appear before the committee on Monday where the Anti-Corruption Bureau will also be present.
