For the sake of healthy life you will need to maintain a balanced diet. Studies have revealed that most people don’t get enough nutrients because they don’t consider eating a portion of well-balanced diet food.

Maggie Michalczyk, RD, a nutritionist explained that people have formed a habit of eating only trendy meals from Monday to Monday which lack important nutrients.

“Many people have trouble eating a balanced diet because we are creatures of habit. Trendy diets often exclude major food groups too, making it even harder not to be deficient of a vitamin, mineral or even worse, a macronutrient like protein, fat or carbohydrates,” noted Michalczyk as quoted by Bustle.

Here are the signs that show you are not eating a balanced diet;

1. Fatigue

This condition occurs when someone lacks iron in his or her body. You get tired so easily after completing a simple task.

“Fatigue is often due to iron deficiency due to lack of good dietary sources,” Arielle Levitan MD, co-founder of Vous Vitamin LLC told Bustle.

It was also noted eating a diet with low carbohydrates content can make you be tired. Carbohydrates are known as energy giving foods.

2. Thinning hairs

Lack of certain nutrients in your meal such as iron, biotin, vitamin D cause thinning hairs. Keratin hormones are known for boosting hair growth. Lack of these nutrients lowers the production of these hormones.

3. Feeling cold

This could mean that your thyroid is not functioning properly due to lack of iodine. Iodine is a special component that are significant when it comes to promoting the function of the thyroid gland. The gland plays cardinal roles in metabolism and development of the body. It mainly regulates major body functions. If you are always feeling cold, this means your thyroid gland is not in good function which is due to lack of iodine in your daily diets.
