United Transformation Movement (UTM) leader Right Honourable Saulos Chilima has said it is premature at this stage to think of forming an alliance as the court decision is not known.

Chilima said this at a press briefing he held at the party’s office headquarters in area 10, Lilongwe.

According to Chilima, at this moment no one knows what the presidential elections case ruling will be.

He however conceded that there are growing calls to form a coalition adding that they are always ready to work with others, accommodate their views and forge a common front to develop Malawi.

Constitutional Court with the panel of five judges is expected to deliver its ruling on Monday February 3 regarding the case where Chilima and Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi Congress Party are seeking nullification of the presidential polls which saw the electoral body declaring Peter Mutharika winner.
